ACOSAR – An innovative simulation that saves time and money
As part of the European research project ACOSAR (Advanced Co-Simulation Architecture) ESI and 15 partners from across Europe have developed and standardized the Distributed Co-Simulation Protocol (DCP) adopted by the Modelica Association.
Within the ACOSAR project, ESI ITI significantly contributed to the DCP-standard and implemented a prototype within SimulationX as proof of concept. It is planned to industrialize this prototype for ESI's system simulation solutions. ESI expects to significantly increase the interoperability of its tools and a reduction of development and maintenance costs due to the replacement of several tool specific co-simulation modules by the standardized and tool-independent DCP.
